Mildred Dominguez, MA, LMHC earned her Bachelor Degree in Psychology and has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida. She is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida.
Practicing since 2012, she has provided support to clients needing assistance with concerns including, but not limited to trauma, grief, stress, anxiety, and depression. She holds extensive experience in working with survivors/ victims of abuse and trauma including domestic violence, victims of crime, and those who suffer Post traumatic Stress disorders. While there are many theories in providing counseling, her therapeutic approach is tailored to the client’s needs. She has been trained in Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing (CPT), Rogerian therapy, Solution Focused therapies, and Biblical based counseling. Although she handles each session based on client’s needs and integrates methodologies, she also focuses on underlying factors using a psychodynamic perspective. This will help the client gain insight from past issues that are impacting today's well- being. The goal of therapy is to alleviate distress and stimulate the growth needed for each client.
